Automated Control Systems

What is it?
Automated control systems make an easy task of operating your home electronics. The functions of several remote controls can be combined into one system: an easy-to-use touch screen. With one button, you can bring your home theater come to life, turning on the system, closing the blinds, dimming the lights, and starting the movie. Or when it's time for bed, one touch turns off the lights throughout the house or dims them to preprogrammed levels. The systems that Coastal Carolina Audio Visual installs can do these and more.

The simplicity of control systems allows everyone in your home, including your children, grandchildren, and even visitors, to operate complex systems with just the touch of a button. The equipment the systems operate can be stored in closets or cabinets and still be controlled from anywhere in the house.

How does it work?
Most control systems work using infrared like your DVD remote or RF (radio frequency) like your cordless phone. In both types of systems, the control functions for the equipment are programmed into the controller, which can be hand held, table top, or wall mounted, and use a keypad or touch screen. With infrared systems, tiny receivers placed near the TV or other equipment to be controlled relay the infrared signals to the equipment located in cabinets, closets, or other rooms.
